Behind the Scenes

In the past few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time with Ankhlandia—not designing new pieces, but reflecting on everything I’ve built so far. I’ve reread texts, sorted through images, studied the data, all while trying to understand where it stands now—and where I stand within it.

There was a bit of uncomfortable uncertainty in this process. When you refine something for a long time, it’s easy to lose the feeling that made you start it in the first place. There were quite a few moments when I felt that the keywords, settings, and the push for visibility had become louder than what I actually wanted to express.

I’ve rewritten a lot. Not to be someone else, but to get closer to what I originally wanted to convey—the feeling that comes from the shapes, the movement of nature, and the hand-formed details. It’s important to me that anyone who discovers these pieces doesn’t just see an object, but experiences a feeling, a message, a mood.

Right now, I’m in a waiting phase, patiently hoping that all of this will come together—though patience isn’t exactly my strong suit. 😊 As I check the metrics and analytics several times a day, I remind myself that I’ve learned so much, stepped out of my comfort zone, dove into another “uncomfortable” topic—and perhaps I’m just beginning to scratch the surface. Sooner or later, I know it will bear fruit.
